The Lenovo ThinkStation PX Tower Workstation can support up to two Intel Xeon scalable dual processors and up to four AI-enabled NVIDIA RTX dedicated graphics cards (sold separately). With additional expansion slots for RAM, storage, and PCIe, this workstation goes beyond the limits of desktop performance to power even the most extreme workflows. Performance – Lenovo ThinkStation PX Tower Workstation

The system houses an Intel Xeon Silver 4416+ processor. It features a stock speed of 2.0 GHz and can be boosted up to 3.9 GHz. The ThinkStation PX also has space to support a second processor (sold separately).
Dedicated NVIDIA T400 Graphics
The dedicated NVIDIA T400 graphics card has 4GB of GDDR6 RAM, delivers a sharp, clear picture, and features three mini DisplayPort 1.4 outputs which support a maximum resolution of 5120 x 2880 at 60 Hz.

Expansion Options for Lenovo ThinkStation PX Tower Workstation

The ThinkStation PX offers a variety of expansion options. There are 16 DDR5 DIMM slots, allowing for up to 2TB of memory. There are also seven M.2 slots, three onboard and four via the front access M.2 bay. Each M.2 slot supports up to a 4TB SSD. There are also four 3.5″ internal drive bays, and each supports a 12TB 3.5″ hard drive. There are also nine PCIe slots that allow for system expansion.

Connectivity

With plenty of USB-A ports, the ThinkStation PX allows you to connect compatible peripherals and accessories. There is also a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 port. For internet connectivity, the ThinkStation PX features both a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 LAN jack and a 10 GbE RJ45 LAN jack.

Security and Privacy

The ThinkStation PX offers a discrete TPM 2.0 security chip. It also features a variety of physical security options, such as an access panel lock kit with a common key, front storage bay lock with a common key, and a Kensington lock slot. There is also a cover lock and a chassis intrusion switch to prevent unauthorized access.

Windows 11 Pro

Microsoft simplified the design and user experience with Windows 11. It has a modern, clean design with a new Start Menu position. Snap Layouts, Groups, and Desktops allow you to multitask with ease. Microsoft has also integrated some of their apps, such as Microsoft Teams. The redesigned Microsoft Store makes it easier to look for supported apps. The Pro version of Windows 11 includes all the features that Windows 11 Home offers plus many designed specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access.

he Lenovo ThinkStation PX supports single or dual Intel Xeon Scalable 4th Generation (LGA4677) processors for the ultimate performance.

Hyper-Threading support allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core - recognizing up to 224 total cores on dual processors, 112 real and 112 virtual. Turbo Boost support automatically boosts the processor speed based on workload - so if an application is only using one of the cores it will automatically increase the speed of the core in use and turn off the unused cores.
