Lenovo ThinkStation P5 Workstation
Workstations typically leave the flair on the design room floor, but not the ThinkStation P5. While the shape of the full tower is familiar, the red in front and offset intake design is said to be inspired by Aston Martin cars. If you need to move the heavy case, handles are on top to make that easier.

With a hotrod paint job, a workstation from Lenovo has sped into PC Labs: the ThinkStation P5 (starting at $3,289, about $6,800 as tested). The P5 is a high-performance, scalable workstation in the middle of Lenovo’s product stack (between the P3 on the low side and P7/PX on the high end) with an Aston Martin-inspired full tower chassis. The P5 is designed for a wide range of functions for creators, data crunchers, or anyone who needs the power of a workstation-class PC. Inside the rack-mountable frame is a modular configuration that makes it easy to swap out parts, with room for up to two video cards and other expansions. Our P5 arrived with a midrange configuration. However, you’ll find plenty of options on the website to scale up, which you’ll pay dearly for. While you can’t quite scale the P5 to the sky, its top-end configuration is still a pricey, powerful battle station for the pros—just keep an ear out for loud operating volume under load.
